Privacy

Introduction

PersonaVita, Inc. (the "Company") takes your right to privacy seriously, and wants you to feel comfortable using personavita.com (the "Web Site"). This Privacy Policy deals with personally-identifiable information (referred to as "data" below) that may be collected by or through the Web Site or the Company. This policy does not apply to other entities that are not owned or controlled by the Company, nor does it apply to persons that are not employees or agents of the Company, or that are not under the Company's control. In addition to this Privacy Policy, please take time to read the Web Site's Terms of Use.

1) Collection of Data

Registration for an account on the Web Site requires only a valid e-mail address and a user name that has not been chosen already. You are not required to provide any other information if you do not want to. Please be aware that the user name you choose, the e-mail address you provide and any other information you enter may render you personally identifiable, and may possibly be displayed on the Web Site intentionally (depending on choices you make during the registration process, or depending on the way in which the Web Site is configured) or unintentionally (subsequent to a successful act of intrusion by a third party).

The Company may use cookies, clear GIFs and log file information to (a) store information so that you will not have to continuously re-enter it at the Web Site; (b) provide personalized content and information; (c) monitor our marketing campaigns; (d) monitor statistics relating to the Web Site; (e) track your submissions and status in promotions; and (f) police the Web Site and enforce the Terms of Use and any other guidelines for usage. In addition, the Company may use clear GIFs or web beacons in HTML-based emails sent to you to track the emails that are opened by recipients.

PersonaVita helps you share information about yourself with others. You choose what information you put in your public profile, including contact, personal, educational and professional information. PersonaVita’s systems will permit you to have significant, but not total, control over what users may see your information; to take advantage of these features of the system, you will have to become familiar with and be able to use the settings in your user profile. You should assume that any personal, educational or professional information or other content that you voluntarily post to the Web Site will become publicly available and can be accessed and viewed by others. Even if you effectively restrict what information about you may be seen by other users, PersonaVita can give you no assurance about what any given user might do with that information. IF YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE ANY OF YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE OR OTHER INFORMATION PUBLICLY AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEB SITE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

2) Use of Data

Data may be used to customize and improve your user experience on the Web Site. In addition, data may be used in connection with administrative communications, marketing communications, promotions and internal business purposes.

Efforts will be made to prevent your data from being made available to third parties unless: (i) it is information that you post to the Web Site or otherwise choose to include or indicate in your public profile; (ii) provided for otherwise in this Privacy Policy; (iii) your consent is obtained, such as when you choose to opt-in or opt-out for the sharing of data; (iv) a service provided on the Web Site requires interaction with a third party, or is provided by a third party, such as an application service provider; (v) pursuant to legal action or law enforcement; (vi) it is found that your use of the Web Site violates the Company's Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or other usage guidelines, or if it is deemed reasonably necessary by the Company to protect the Company's legal rights and/or property; or (vii) the Web Site is purchased by a third party, in which case that third party will be able to use the data in the same manner as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

In the event you choose to use links displayed on the Web Site to visit other web sites, you are advised to read the privacy policies published on those other web sites.

You can request that your user account be deleted; to do so, please contact the site administrator. Content or other data that you may have provided, and that is not stored within your user account, such as articles published, may continue to remain on the Web Site at the Company's discretion, even after your user account is deleted. Please see the Web Site's Terms of Use for more information.

6) NO GUARANTEES

While this Privacy Policy states standards for maintenance of data, and while efforts will be made to meet these standards, the Company does not guarantee that it will comply with these standards.
